We expect all of our members to support WLF by attending our events.  In addition, we ask members to contribute their time and/or their financial support to our programs.  The following are opportunities to become more involved, enriching both your experience with WLF and the lives of the women and high school girls we try to help.

WLF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

YOUNG WOMEN AMBASSADORS:  Education

Committee members help with the speakers, training and events planned for the YWA Education program.  Education sessions take place the first Sunday of the month from October - May at UCR Palm Desert Graduate Center.

YOUNG WOMEN AMBASSADORS:  Mentoring

We need women willing and able to spend 3 - 4 hours a month from November - April with a Young Woman Ambassador interested in her field.

DEVELOPMENT

We need women to assist with sourcing grants, finding sponsors, assisting with in-kind donations and coordinating/soliciting items for Girlz & Our Leaders fundraising luncheon.

MEMBERSHIP

We need women with great interpersonal skills willing to call new members to welcome them and to encourage all members to become more actively involved.  In addition, Membership Committee members assist with registration and welcoming at all WLF events.

We need women to assist with arranging venues and speakers for our events.

GIRLZ & OUR LEADERS

Committee members solicit and organize sponsors and items for the silent auction in the months leading up to the luncheon and help with registration and logistics the day of the event in January.
