We expect all of our members to support WLF by attending our events.  In addition, we ask members to contribute their time and/or their financial support to our programs.  The following are opportunities to become more involved, enriching both your experience with WLF and the lives of the women we try to help.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Annual Leadership Academy
Committee members develop the program, arrange speakers and logistics, sell tickets, and assist with marketing and sponsorship (with the Development Committee).

Desert Women Entrepreneurs
DWE has committees for PR & Marketing, Speakers/ Program Topics, Administration, Buddy System, Microfinance and Workshops.

Scholarships
We need 10 women willing to mentor the young women chosen to receive our annual scholarships.

Wall Street Teens
We need 10 table captains to sit with girls at the luncheon and help with logistics the day of the event (March 28, 2009).

Young Women Ambassadors
We need 2 mentors for each CV high school involved in YWA as well as people to help with the speakers, training and events planned for YWA this year.

Development
We need women to assist with sourcing grants, finding sponsors, assisting with in-kind donations and coordinating/soliciting items for Nite Out with the Girlz and Luncheon raffles.

Membership
We need women with great interpersonal skills willing to call new members to welcome them, call old members to rejoin, and to encourage all members to become more actively involved.

Programs/Luncheons
We need women to assist with registration, set up and hospitality at luncheons.

Nite Out with the Girlz 2009
Pre-event, we need women to solicit and organize the silent auction, address invitations and help with registration and vendor set-up.
