Calling all bright young minds! Some of the Coachella Valley's most intelligent students have big plans for their future – and a private school education can make all the difference in these kids' paths to success.

That's why Marywood Palm Valley School (MWPV) has partnered with Women Leaders Forum and local philanthropists to create the “College Bound” scholarship – intended to cultivate driven young men and women and help them receive the preparation they need to soar in the pursuit of their college and career goals.  

“Our organization is pleased and proud to support a program like this, as part of our mission is to provide mentoring and educational opportunities,” said Christy Majors, president of Women Leaders Forum.

The College Bound scholarship fund will offer 10 smart, hard-working young students the unique opportunity to attend Marywood Palm Valley School. The scholarship fund will provide full FREE tuition for four freshmen, three sophomores, one junior and one senior.

“Marywood Palm Valley has an excellent track record in preparing students for successful futures,” said Denise Dubarry, who has been facilitating the College Bound scholarship fund. “One hundred percent of MWPV's graduating classes have been accepted to 4-year colleges for 10 years running, and the Class of 2009 was accepted to over 40 colleges and were offered over $840,000 in college scholarships.”

Applicants for this special program should be smart, curious and college bound.  They should possess the desire to lead and the ability to work within a team.
